Turkey Burger (High-Protein)

WHAT YOU NEED:

1 100% Whole Wheat Hamburger Bun by Pepperidge Farm

7 oz 93/7 Ground Turkey

2 Slices Fat Free Cheese Singles

1/4 cup Onions

1 Tbs Sugar Free Ketchup

Seasonings (1 tsp)

- Salt

- Pepper

- Onion & Garlic Powder

- 1/2 tsp: Cayenne Pepper

Lettuce for assembly


HOW TO MAKE:

1️. Place a skillet on medium heat and spray with non-stick spray.

2️. Add your onions, grill until they gain some color, and then set aside.

3️. Place your hamburger buns onto the pan, flat side down, and toast until golden brown. Once golden brown, flip the bread, repeat for other side, and then set aside.

4️. Season your ground turkey with the seasonings listed above and form into 2 burger patty shape, slightly indenting the middle with your thumb.

*The helps the meat cook evenly and keep its shape*

5️. Add your meat last, indent side up, and cover for 4-5 minutes. Flip burgers and cook for another 4 minutes with a lid. Add cheese to both patties the last minute and cover once again until cheese has melted.

6️. Assembly: Bottom bun, ketchup, both meat patties, grilled onions, lettuce, and top bun. Then serve!
